Our Theme Verse - 2 Timothy 4:2
“Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction”

A word of welcome from David
Welcome!
Whoever you are and wherever you are from let me personally welcome you to “Preach the Word”.
Our prayerful purpose for this website is that the Word of God may be unleashed and sent forth to as many people in as many places in the world as possible. God proclaims in Isaiah 55:11: “My word...from My mouth: it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”.
There is power inherent in the written and preached Word of God. You have now logged on to one of the few living web sites. The Word of God is alive! You are sure to profit in every way if you take time to listen to God's voice. Paul the apostle in 2 Timothy 3:15-16 states to Timothy “And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”.
Paul is saying that we learn how to know God and be put in a right relationship with God through the holy scriptures. If you have never known your sins forgiven, peace with God, new life and assurance of a place in heaven when you die, you can know this through the good news contained in the scriptures. The good news being that Jesus Christ the Son of God died for our sins on the cross, taking our punishment that we deserve, three days later rising from the grave to give us eternal life and that through faith in Him and His work we can have this salvation.
If you are a true Christian, the Word of God is the way in which your spiritual life will be built up (Acts 20:32; Jude 1:20). It is your spiritual food and it will be profitable for you to spend time in it.
I would like to thank Andrew Watkins for all his hard, laborious work which he has voluntarily and willingly undertaken, he has truly “laboured much for us” (Romans 16:6) and is a brother beloved in the Lord.
May my foolishness and weakness in the preaching of God's Word be transformed into the wisdom and power of God to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ and the salvation of precious immortal souls.
